South Africa: British Consular Assistance Section Moved

Pretoria — The consular assistance section of the British High Commission in Pretoria is to be moved to the main British High Commission building on the corner of Hill and Pretorius streets in Arcadia from next week.

"From 26 June, British nationals who require consular assistance can visit the consular assistance section at the High Commission building in Hill Street during public opening hours," said the British High Commission in a statement.

The opening hours are 8am to 1.15pm Mondays to Thursdays and 8am to 13.20pm on Fridays.

It warned that the consular assistance section would be closed to the public on Monday 25 June. People needing urgent assistance on this day can contact 012 421 7583.

"Priority will be given to emergency cases and those who have booked appointments. To book an appointment or to contact the consular assistance section by telephone please call 012 421 7500 and follow the voice prompts or email pta.helpforbritishnationals@fco.gov.uk."

The passports and visa sections will continue to occupy the Consulate in Glyn Street, Hatfield.
