Angola: SME Reiterates Fight Against Illegal Immigration

Cabinda — The combat against illegal immigration will remain a priority for the Ministry of Interior and the Migration and Foreigners Services, aimed at ensuring stability and development of the country, announced in Cabinda city the national director of Migration and Foreigner Services (SME ), Jose Maria de Freitas Neto.

Jose Maria de Freitas Neto travelled to Cabinda on Tuesday to preside over the inauguration of the Foreigners Detention Centre of Mbaca and the new border post of Yema (south of Cabinda).

Invited to speak about the situation of foreign nationals who are repatriated to their countries, who after sometimes return to Angola, José Freitas Neto said that this situation does not depend on the SME, as long as they are legalised may come to the country either as tourists or as workers.

He reported that at this time to implement studies to stop illegal immigration, and there is already appropriate equipment.
