Kenya Sweepstake Give Sh1 Million to Olympics Team

National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) yesterday received a Sh1m boost from Kenya Charity Sweepstake (KCS) towards their preparations for the national team to the 2012 London Olympics.

KCS public relations officer Peter Njoroge said the donation is part of a Sh10m sponsorship package they have lined up for the Kenya team by the end of July. Njoroge was speaking at the Kasarani yesterday, where they launched three products whose proceeds will go directly to the Team Kenya kitty.

The sweepstake tickets will retail at Sh40, Sh100 and Sh200 and the prizes will be five times the bet. Njoroge said the tickets, whose sale kicked off yesterday will be available at all KCS vendors as well as Uchumi outlets all over the country. " Our efforts are only meant to raise money to support our team to the Olympics," said Njoroge. "We are therefore calling on all Kenyans to purchase these products and be part of this noble initiative."
