Rwanda: Burera Mayor Warns Men Over Violence Against Women

Burera district Mayor, Samuel Sembagare is calling upon residents of his district to stop the bad habit of beating their wives since it is completely inhuman and un developmental to family ties.

"No man should be proud of beating his wife neither can he receive any award for that other than imprisonment." Says the Mayor

Men need to respect themselves and plan for their families rather than think of harassing their wives.

People need to have a paradigm shift and begin proper planning of their families' future rather than creating wrangles and wasting time. Both have to learn to live happily loving each other and continue to cultivate love within their relationships as explained by the district boss.

The district mayor also explains how parents need to have a greater impact in their children's upright upbringing since a happier family is mostly like to give result into happier families of their children.

Men need to learn to have saving cultures by joining local financial institutions so that in case of school fees needs or other un predictable problems, they can have access to finance to solve the problem.
