Angola: Gambian Commits Suicide in Angola

Reports reaching the Daily Observer intimate that a Gambian has committed suicide in Angola.

Kan Burama Jaiteh, 39, and a native of Sutukoba Village in Wuli East District of the Upper River Region was Monday found dead after he hanged himself.

Confirming the tragic incident to the Daily Observer in a telephone call from Angola, Hajji Jawara, the Gambian honorary consul in Angola, said the deceased has been living in the Southern Africa country since 2010.

He said the cause of the suicide is yet unknown. "We took the body to the police for further investigation and from there the body was taken to the mortuary in one of the hospitals in Angola," he added.
