Angola: Singer Hélder Mendes to Promote Album Nationwide

Luanda — The musician Hélder Mendes intends to promote his latest album, entitled "Vumbi", in the whole country.

The album was released on June 16, this year.

In an interview to ANGOP last Tuesday, Hélder Mendes said that he was inspired by Angolan tradition to produce this album and that he already presented to the people of Huambo Province with the support of Art and Culture Foundation.

According to the singer, "Vumbi" means spirit, in Kikongo vernacular language.

The singer's new album has 13 tracks interpreted in six vernacular languages, namely kikongo, umbundu, kimbundo, fiote, kwanyama and tchokwe, with the participation of musicians from Angola, Spain, France and Sweden.
