Tataouine — The Army destroyed on Wednesday evening, three trucks carrying weapons right in the desert of Tataouine, precisely in Stah Lahsan , 100 km North of Borj El khadhra, informed sources told TAP News Agency local correspondent.

These trucks which had been trying to cross into Tunisia, seemed to be coming from Libya and on their way to Algeria, according to the same sources.

"A military plane combing the areas all along borders has come under the fire of these trucks," the sources said, adding that "the military plane retaliated by firing and destroyed them."

It has not been possible so far to get further information about the kind of arms, the identity of the trucks drivers nor their fate.
