Keren — The residents of Keren city, Anseba region, extended a total of 756,000 Nakfa support to families of martyrs. Reports indicated that 63 families of martyrs have become beneficiaries of 12,000 Nakfa each in line with the popular contribution.

One of the residents, Mr. Woldemichael Semere, expressed conviction that what they have done is only meant to gain moral satisfaction and enhance emotional connection with the families of fallen heroes.

Among the family members of martyrs, Ms. Lucia Aradom, expressed appreciation to fellow citizens and the government for translating their pledge to honor the trust of martyrs in deeds.

Mr. Tekie Keleta, Mayor of Keren, called on the residents to reinforce such community-based initiatives.
