After APR makes Police to suffer of loosing title last month in Primus Football National League, on Thursday Police has humiliated FC Marines with 5-1 in Mtn Peace Cup at home Stadium Umuganda.
Meddie Kagere with hat-trick, Rivaldo and Jacques Tuyisenge made the goals which helped Police to win the first leg while Bitenderi Amiri scored the consolation for Marines.
After the first win Police will meet Marines again on Sunday for the return leg and Sec Academy will host APR.
In other matchs, APR beats Sec Academy for 3-1 Pappy, Fatty and St Preux Lionel scored for APR while the youngster twin brother to Isonga based Muganza Isaac, Isaie Songa scored wonder goal for Sec Academy.
Ernie Brandts didn't use his best men skipper Olivier Karekezi, twins Twite, Ndoli Jean Claude, Selman Yamin, Ndikumana, Habib Kavuma and winger Dan Wagaruka as he gives chance to Hegman Ngoma, Alexis da Villa, Diego Olviera, Tuyizere Donatien, Ndayishimiye Jean Luc Bakame and Kipson Atuheire.
Jean Baptist Mugiraneza, Jean Claude Iranzi were on bench for the match, Brandts made shock using young players Mubumbyi Bernabe and Sekamana Max of APR Academy.
The match of the day was between arch-rival Rayon Sport against Kiyovu where Rayon sport control to beat Kiyovu for 1-0, the goal scorer was Fuad Ndayisenga.
The strikers of Rayon Sport Bokota Labama, Sina Jerome, Fuadi Ndayisenga and Amisi Cedric were missed golden chance, Nelly Mayanja and Bakkabulindi Julius missed good opportunity for Kiyovu Sport.
Rayon Sport dominated the match but failed to find the way to make finishing so as to score many goals.
Police, who reached last year's final, are desperate to finish the season with a trophy after coming agonizingly close to winning this year's Primus National League.
Mukura and AS Kigali played out a goalless draw quarter-final match of the MTN Peace Cup on Wednesday at Kamena Stadium.
The first leg of the semi-finals is considered on June 27 and 28 with the return leg planned for next weekend.
The final and third place playoff will be on July 7.
Last year, APR needed penalty shootouts to lift the Cup against Police.
