Angola: Child Song Festival Set for June 30

Caxito — The fifth provincial child song festival of the Angolan Children Organisation in northern Bengo province will take place on June 30, 2012, announced Thursday the organisation of the event.

Sponsored by Agostinho Neto Pioneer Organisation (OPA), the festival will gather 12 participants, all from Dande district.

Speaking to Angop, the secretary for the activities and finances of OPA Department in Bengo, Vicente Simão Ambrósio, said that other districts have not sent their representatives for financial reason and some are busy attending class.

To find the winner, the team of the jury of the contest will focus on composition of (lyric), melody, costumes, stage presentation and interpretive capacity of competitors.
