Health workers in Bugesera district have been asked to keep on sensitizing the local people to fight against diseases caused by unhygienic environment which are very common in the society.
They should explain to people that 80percent of diseases that affect them are from lack hygiene and they can be prevented said Leonille Narumanzi the vice mayor for social affairs in Bugesera District.
Leonille Narumanzi asked health workers to take care of local people's health by sensitizing them to be hygienic in what they are doing, where they work from, where they eat from and where they sleep from and reminded them that hygiene is the source of life.
Health works also show the limitations they meet with in their work while sensitizing local people and they asked if they can be given an allowance as Donatile Mukarutabana a health worker in Gashora sector said.
On this issue, Leonille Narumanzi said that it is almost impossible for the government cannot get enough money to give as allowances every month for the health centers in the whole country.
Mukarutabana said that even though they don't get that allowance, they will go on doing their work of sensitizing local people to participate in governments program especially those to do with health.
