Egypt: Constitutional Assembly Begins Second Meeting At Shura Council

The second meeting of the Constitutional Constituent Assembly which is responsible for drafting a new constitution was held on Saturday 23/6/2012 at the Shura Council headquarters presided by counselor Hossam el-Gheriani.

Maj. Gen. Mamdouh Shahin, Church and Al-Azhar representatives were present.

"We will continue our work and even if this Assembly was dissolved the next one will pick up what we left," Gheriani said at the beginning of the session.

The Constitutional Constituent Assembly also discussed inner the statute and inner workings regulations that adopted by the Assembly.
