Egypt Needs Solidarity, Consolidation in This Phase - PM

Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri has stressed that Egypt is in need of solidarity and consolidation in this phase.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday 23/6/2012, Ganzouri urged all to cooperate for the sake of the country.

He said that his government worked for Egypt at hard times. Ganzouri denied the escape of any businessman from Egypt.

Ganzouri said the government exerted strenuous efforts to help the Egyptian economy recover. He called on all powers to agree, even for a while, for the sake of Egypt.

On the economic situation, Ganzouri said "We tried to stop ongoing deterioration for more than 11 months and it was the product of conditions the country faced years ago. At the same time, besides security and reforming the economic situation, we were attempting to solve problems of ordinary citizens and pensioners."
