Nigeria: NAPTIP Gets Operational Equipment From U.S.

The United States Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, has donated operational equipment to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP).

Handing over the equipment to the agency in Abuja, Assistant Secretary of the bureau, William Brownfield, said the donation was a follow-on to May 2011 training provided by the U.S. Department of Justice to NAPTIP, Nigerian Police, Nigerian Immigration, EFCC and Nigerian Customs staff on investigating and prosecuting trafficking in persons.
