Lagos — Some tough friendly matches have lined up for Super Eagles ahead of their Nations Cup qualifiers in the months of September and October Top on the billing is the one against former world and Nations Cup champions Brazil and another match Cote d' Ivoire.
This was disclosed by the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Alhaji Aminu Maigari, in Lagos after Falcons friendly tie with the Bayana Banyana of South Africa.
"We are also looking at the possibility of playing Peru and India in order to keep the team busy. We are planning to have four international matches for the Super Eagles as part of their preparation for the Nations Cup qualifier and I am sure that these countries, especially Cote d'Ivoire, will give the Eagles a tough challenge", Maigari stated.
Speaking further, Maigari noted that the target of the NFF is to ensure that Nigeria qualifies for next year's Nations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, stressing that the failure to achieve these will be another disaster for Nigerian football.
"We are doing everything to make Nigerians happy. We have a target to fulfill and our target is to see that all our national teams represent Africa in FIFA organised championships," he said.
