Mensura — The inhabitants of Migrah village, Mensura sub-zone, are engaged in a popular undertaking with a view to ensuring sustainability of water supply in the locality through building a micro-dam. Stating that a number of villages have already become beneficiaries of potable water supply in line with the Government's commitment to promote rural development, they explained that the campaign is intended to support such an endeavor.

Among the local inhabitants, Ms. Tabotu Teklai and Mr. Redae Zerai, expressed conviction that the construction of micro-dam in the locality would ameliorate scarcity of potable water.

Mr. Tesfagabir Melake, Administrator of Tinshai Administrative area, said that impressive popular participation is being witnessed in the task, and that the inhabitants of Migrah are also building 1 Km-long road from their village to the micro-dam.

Mr. Tesfalidet Gebremariam, Administrator of Mensura sub-zone, commended the initiative by the inhabitants of Migrah village.
