They say love is incompatible with violence and that the true revolutionary is guided by feelings of love that binds.

That was the spirit on Thursday evening when music lovers turned up in large numbers for the Eric Wainaina's & The Best Band in Africa, Love & Protest album gig at the Choices Pub & Restaurant along Baricho road.

The album was launched late last year and covers elements of reggae, benga and R & B. It has 14 tracks with hits like Revolution Time, Sing Mercy, Baby Don't Go and Rain On You.

Revolution Time was the night's favourite song. Eric said the track was driven by the current reforms going on in the country with Kenyans being inspired to give voice to the dis-empowered. "People protest where there is no love and protest in just part of patriotism. As we approach the next general election, I call upon my fellow Kenyans to vote leaders who will not let them down. Let's stand up and be counted", said Wainaina.
