Luanda — The speaker of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada, is due to hold from 28 June to 2 July a working visit to Angola at the invitation of his local counterpart, Paulo Kassoma.
According to a communiqué issued by the National Assembly that reached Angop, Monday, the visit of Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada to Angola aims to strengthen cooperation ties between the National Assemblies of the respective countries.
The Cuban parliamentary leader will be received in audience by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, and will hold contacts with some ministers of the executive and visits to socio-cultural and economic ventures.
During his stay in the country, Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada will give a lecture entitled "Cuba:
Options and Prospects", addressed to parliamentarians, judges, members of the Executive and representatives of civil society.
In November 2011, the speaker of the National Assembly, António Paulo Kassoma, paid a visit of its kind to Cuba.
