Egypt: HM the King Congratulates New Egyptian President

Rabat — HM King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Mohamed Morsi on his election as new president of Egypt.

HM the King extended warm congratulations to Mr. Morsi as well as heartfelt wishes for every success in his sublime duties in leading the Egyptian people in this decisive phase of their present-day history.

The Monarch congratulated the new Egyptian president on the precious confidence placed in him by the Egyptian voters, which, the message said, attests to their esteem for Mr. Morsi for his sincere patriotism and his commitment to defending the Egyptian people's best interests.

HM the King expressed deep pride in the solid ties of brotherhood, effective solidarity and mutual esteem between the two brotherly peoples, reaffirming his firm determination to work with the new Egyptian president towards giving strong momentum to fruitful cooperation relations between the two peoples and raising them to a higher level for the benefit of both peoples in such a way as to contribute to consolidating the ideals of democracy and human rights and fulfilling the aspirations of all the peoples of the Arab-Islamic Umma for progress, prosperity, peace and stability.
