The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Adeola Ipaye, was appointed in 2011. Before the appointment, he was a senior lecturer in the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law and Sub-Dean of Law at the University of Lagos. In this interview, he speaks on the Justice Sector reform in the state, the recently introduced non-custodial sentences for minor offences, prison congestion and other sundry issues. Excerpts:

In spite of all efforts to fast track cases in court, some cases still go on for long periods, what is responsible for this and what is the way out?
