Egypt: Supreme Court Awaiting Notification of President Taking Oath Date

Counselor Maher el-Behairy, the vice president of the Supreme Constitutional Court said on Monday 25/6/2012 that the court has not yet received any notification from the presidency to the effect that the president will be sworn in before the court.

He said the Presidency of the Republic is the body which will fix a date for the swearing ceremony.

He said under the Complementary Constitutional Declaration, the president elect will be sworn in before the General Assembly of the Supreme Constitutional Court.
