Kenya: Yvonne Case Postponed

The widow of Kenya's former Vice President Michael Wamalwa is yet to respond to a suit filed by her stepchildren seeking to compel her to account for over Sh36.4 million paid to the family as gratuity.

Lawyer Albert Khaminwa representing Yvonne Wamalwa yesterday pleaded with the court to allow him more time to file the response on behalf of his client who lives in Australia. On May 21 Yvonne was ordered by judge G B M Kariuki to respond to the case in 14 days but the time limit lapsed yesterday.
