Muhanga Vice Mayor for economic affairs Francois Uhagaze has advised business people in Muhanga town to work as a team for better yields instead of working as individuals.
The Mayor asserts that business people and private companies should join efforts and make use of the districts property rather than reserving it for people outside Muhanga.
The economic affairs boss gives an example of how business persons in this district have never joined efforts to build Muhanga market to a modern standard.
Small scale business and large scale business owners should come together and contribute according to their capacities so that the market is built, denotes Uhagaze
Francois Uhagaze narrates: "Did business people in Muhanga town real fail to contribute and build a modern market? If you fail to, contractors from Kigali will come and build it but it will not be much to your benefit."
Relating to that point, the district authority brings an example of residents in Butare town, who contributed and set up a modern market that led the district to get an innovation cup.
The modern market Butare residents built earn the district Rwf34 million of which they deduct Rwf14 million to pay the loan.
Muhanga market is attended by 700 people doing different types of businesses.
