Tunis — A new three-year co-operation programme has just been signed in Brussels between Tahar Cherif, Europe Department Director at Tunisia's Foreign Ministry, and Philippe Suinen, Director General of "Wallonia Brussels international," Daniel Soil, Wallonia Brussels delegate in Tunis told TAP news agency.
According to the same source, this three-year programme of co-operation and support to Tunisian partnership in this transitional period, turns notably on the media sector through carrying on what had been started in 2011 as regards the exchange of journalists, the support to the public radio and TV sector, and partnership between the Higher Audiovisual Council of Wallonia Brussels and the future High Independent Authority for Audiovisual Communication in Tunisia.
In cultural matters, the projects focus chiefly on training sessions in the fields of audiovisual and film business.
This co-operation programme is part of the visit last March of Minister- President of Wallonia Brussels federation Rudy Demotte which allowed him to "identify the needs of activists, intellectuals, journalists and bloggers and allocate available resources to independent projects, notably in the media field" says Daniel Soil.
