Nigeria: JTF, Police Kill 17 Gun Men in Kano Attacks

Kano — About 17 gun men were killed yesterday in gun battles with the Police and men of the Joint Task Force in Kano.

Disclosing this on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police, Kano state, Ibrahim K. Idris has told newsmen that coordinated attacks were launched on Monday evening against several locations which included the Dala Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force, Jakara Police Barracks, Goron Dutse Prison yard, 52 Squadron of the Mobile Police Force and a Junior Secondary School at Sabuwar Doka at Ungogo Local Government Area.
