Lokoja — National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has said that only a virile economy, that can cater for the basic needs of the people can guarantee the sustenance of democracy.
Tukur, who was represented by Prof. Onyeka Onyeka, said this on Tuesday at the opening of the 10th Nigerian Development Forum in Lokoja, Kogi State. He, therefore, called on government at all levels to show prudence and accountability in the management of resources for the benefit of the people.
