Arsenal Football Club will square up against the Nigerian national team in a friendly match in Abuja on Sunday, August 5.
This was confirmed on the club's web site on Wednesday afternoon. The encounter will form part of activities of the English side during their pre-season tour of Nigeria.
Arsène Wenger's team will face the Super Eagles in the National Stadium, with a confirmed kick-off time of 4pm local time. According to the site, tickets details will be announced on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012.
The Club last visited Africa during a tour to South Africa in July 1993, and is returning as a result of the fantastic support which exists for the team, not only in Nigeria, but across the entire continent.
The visit to Nigeria will conclude an exciting pre-season tour schedule for Arsenal, who return to both China and Malaysia in July, following the success of last term's Asia Tour.
The Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi is putting together a new team and the game with the gunners will present the biggest test for the team.

Lets hope there will be high security in the area because this will be embarrassing for the country if Boko Haram plant a bomb in the stadium. As we all know, Boko Haram are free to bomb the country because of lack of intelligence in the country.
