Lamin Manjang will be leaving his position of managing director at Standard Chartered bank Uganda, and take up a similar position at the bank's operations in the Arabian state of Oman.
He will become the first African to head the bank's operations in Oman. At a farewell dinner hosted by the Uganda Bankers Association, where Manjang has been chairman since 2009, fellow bankers heaped praise on a man they say has high integrity and has turned around the fortune of Standard Chartered bank Uganda.
