Nigeria: FG to Capture 20 Million Farmers in Data Base

In her resolve to deepen the accruing advantages of the Growth Enhancement Support Scheme, GESS, across farming communities in the country, the Federal Government has flagged-off the e-Wallet Operations with an assurance that no farmer will be left out of the scheme.

Flagging-off the scheme in Abakaliki, Awka and Enugu, the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, said the Federal Government captured 4.5 million farmers through the scheme, stressing that as far as its successes were concerned, 20 million farmers would within the next three years be in the nation's data base for proper agricultural planning activities.
