Tanzania: EBSS Search Goes to Lindi

Lindi — THE Epic Bongo Star Search auditions will this weekend be held at the Police Officers Mess in Lindi region.

Benchmark Production Executive Director, Rita Paulsen, who also presides as chief judge of the talent search shows, urged Lindi residents to show up in big numbers on Saturday when auditions take place.

"We understand that Lindi is endowed with a lot of talented young artists who can make a grade in the music industry that is why we decided to come here this time around, we encourage them to show up during the auditions."

She said the competition is open to all ages from 16's and above. "These auditions aim at finding best artists who can represent Li ndi in the final shows, artistes who have the ability to become a professional recording artist." The competition travels across the country every year searching for the next big star.

Auditions have already been staged in Dodoma and Zanzibar. Rita hailed the level of performance showcased by contestants during the Dodoma and Zanzibar shows. "I truly was dumbfounded and surprised by the singing and stage ability showcased by these aspiring young artists, I'm looking forward to a thrilling EBSS finals."

The winner of the Epic Bongo Star Search final, which is organized by Benchmark Production, will pocket in 50m/- from main sponsors, the mobile phone company, Zantel.
