Rwanda: Modern Market Worth Rwf690 Million to Open Soon

Abdallah Murenzi, Nyanza district mayor has recently revealed that Nyanza market, though delayed because of contractors is expected to open before July 10th 2012.

Murenzi Abdallah thanks residents for being so patient for this long because the modern market building process met obstacles rising from contractors.

Nyanza Mayor asserts that evidence to the market completion is how traders are busy building stalls. "The market was presented to us and we presented it to business people so that they prepare the place," he adds.

Painting has been done and the market waits to be opened officially by contractors, says Murenzi.

"Between July 1st and July 10th 2012, residents will have built their stalls and start working," explains Murenzi

Mayor Murenzi calls upon residents to deal in different goods and services, so that they socially and economically develop.

Nyanza modern market building started on October 18th 2010 but its master plan was revised and the market construction had to restart.

Contractors EMUJABO and Just Size are behind the construction of the market, as Francois Nkurunziza; Vice mayor for economic affairs denotes.
