Nigeria: Police Arrest Eight, Recover 16 Vehicles

Abeokuta — The Ogun State Police Command said yesterday that it arrested eight persons in the state in connection with stolen vehicles. Also, a total of 16 vehicles were recovered with arms and ammunition.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement, said the operation was carried out by the state's anti-robbery team. He said the state's Commissioner of Police, Okoye Ikemefuna, who visited some of the hideouts, expressed regret that some people now perceive armed robbery as a legitimate business.
