Nigeria: FG Berates Telecom Operators' On Services

In a twist from its previous stance, the Federal Government yesterday in Abuja blamed telecom companies operating in Nigeria for doing little to improve services for users, adding that much is expected from service providers so as to achieve quality service in the industry.

Minister of Communication Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, stated this at a two-day workshop on Mobile Number Portability Implementation and Management organised by BSP Media Group in conjunction with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC).

According to the minister, the persistent cases of poor quality of services has resulted to subscribers now buying more than one phone, a situation, she described as worrisome.
