Lokoja — A group under the auspices of Ukomu Igala has attributed under development in Kogi-East Senatorial District to what it described as abysmal performance of elected representatives from the area at the state and National Assembly.

Chairman of the steering committee of the association, Dr. Idachaba Michael, who spoke in Lokoja yesterday, said they decided to form the group to give Igala people a voice and find solution to the numerous challenges facing the area.

He said the organisation will chart a new course for Igala people by addressing the high rate of unemployment and insecurity in the area. He said the group is committed to re-awakening the people so that they can hold their leaders accountable.

He also called on Igala leaders to bury their differences for the overall development of the area.
