Egypt: Govt Takes Part in International Meeting On Somalia
30 June 2012
Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr assigned Ambassador Mona Omar, the Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs to lead Egypt's delegation to the meetings of the international liaison panel to support Somalia scheduled to be held in the Italian capital Rome on Monday.
The ambassador said Egypt's participation falls within its care about the Somali issue and its participation in London and Istanbul meetings to consider measures to endorse legitimacy in Somalia as the term of office of the Somali transition government under Sheikh Sharif would end in August.
