Nigeria: Kogi Pledges Adequate Security at Churches, Mosques

Lokoja — The Kogi State government has restated its commitment towards protection of places of worship in the state. Governor Idris Wada made the pledge when executive members of the state's chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) paid him a visit.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Arc Yomi Awoniyi, said government will continue to be just and fair. He solicited prayers for the nation from adherents of all religions for continued peace and stability of the state and nation.

Earlier, chairman of CAN, Bishop Emmanuel Egbunu, commended the state government for its support.
