Tanzania: Manufacturer Promotes Consumption Local Goods

TANZANIANS were on Sunday urged to buy locally manufactured products to boost employment and industrial growth.

"People should buy locally made goods to promote industrial growth and create more jobs," Pan African Enterprises Limited Marketing Manager, Mr Rumin Shah, said in an interview at the 36th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) grounds.

Pan African Enterprises Limited produces mattresses known as Comfy for hospitals, hotels and individuals. He said the firm had been producing foam products for the last 50 years. "We are proud of our manufacturing complex, which is well equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

"We upgrade our machines on a regular basis by obtaining the most modern and computerised technology. This enables us to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity which enhances the quality of our products," he said.
