Angola: Choir Groups Promote Gospel Music Festival

Luanda — Various youth choir groups of religious congregations based in the country's capital (Luanda) on Saturday here participated at a gospel music festival, held at the main pavilion of Cidadela stadium.

Speaking to ANGOP, Luanda's provincial co-ordinator of the Angolan Religious Youth Network, José Henrique Pina, referred that the activity aimed at transmitting a message of

peace, in view of the electoral process underway nationwide.

He stressed that with this initiative, religious youths intended to appeal to the parties taking part in the forthcoming August 31 general elections to abide by civility and mutual respect, in order for Angola to serve as an example to the world.

The source added that the event counted on the participation of choir groups from the Pentecostal Assembly of God, from the Methodist and Baptist Churches, to name a few.

José Pina revealed that his institution will soon promote similar activities in the country's interior regions.
