Abuja — As part of its contribution towards addressing the insecurity confronting the country, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, has submitted a security proposal to the Presidency.
Commandant-General of VGN, Alhaji Ali Sokoto, who spoke while submitting the proposal to President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, said the organisation was never in competition with any of the existing security agencies in the country.
The proposal, which was submitted through the Minister of Police Affairs, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade, was handed over by Commandant of the Ekiti Sector of VGN, Commander Olusefun Ojo, who doubles as Chairman of the Vigilante Reformation Committee of VGN.
Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar and Director-General of State Security Service, SSS, Mr. Ita Ekpeyong, also got copies of the proposal.
