Namibia: Dawid Boois Wept As Court Dismissed His Corruption Case

Keetmanshoop — The Keetmanshoop Regional Court on Monday dismissed corruption charges against former Karas Regional Governor and Member of Parliament Dawid Boois.

Delivering the judgment, Magistrate Sensley Zisengwe said the State witnesses could not prove how Boois used his office to corruptly obtain gratification. Boois faced 24 counts of corruption for allegedly pocketing a monthly housing subsidy of N$7 500 over a 24-month period, while living in a government house.
