Zambia: Zamtel Shines Again

Zamtel has scooped the best telecommunication award for the second year running at the on-going Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF).

The telecommunications company corporate and communications manager Kennedy Mambwe said yesterday that the award was a sign of confidence in the progress the firm had made.

He said the company had invested heavily in technology such as the 3 Generation which had improved the services offered to subscribers.

Mr Mambwe said management at Zamtel was committed to invest further in technology and rolling out the network to all parts of Zambia.

He urged people to join the Zamtel network for them to enjoy the high quality services being offered.

Mr Mambwe said Zamtel had invested K2 billion in communication facilities at the new Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

"We are proud to be associated with the new stadium. All communication facilities at the stadium were installed by Zamtel," he said.
