Tanzania: Airtel Launches New Promotion

IN ensuring financial service reach more people in the country, Airtel Tanzania yesterday launched Airtel money promotion called "kula Dabo (meaning get twice)" in which it rewards customers buying airtime using Airtel money service.

Airtel Public Relations Manager Jackson Mmbando told a news conference at the 36th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) that customers buying airtime worth 1,000/- and above would be twice the amount. He said the telecom firm would also reward all Airtel money agents with double commission for all transactions performed during the month of July.

"Our aim is to reward Airtel money stakeholder through the "Kula Dabo" promotion at this eventful period where there is the trade fair," he said.

"Apart from promotion, Airtel present special offer to customers who will purchase various products and services at our Sabasaba booth," he added. Mr Mmbando said people visiting the firm's stand at DITF would get various prizes including handsets and modems.
