Angola: Nation Waits for New Zealand in Pre-Olympic Tournament

Luanda — After the 88-84 victory over Macedonia, the national senior males basketball team will face New Zealand on Wednesday, in the second pre-Olympic tournament happening in Caracas, Venezuela.

Motivated by the first victory, the Angolans will face a well known opponent, not only because of the traditional dance that they present before any match, but also because of the previous confrontations, both in the Olympic Games and in the World Championship.

The last clash between the two teams Angolans won by 95-73, in the first phase of the 2006 World Cup in Japan, in what was the best African campaign in World Cup.
