Liberia: Senators Want Support for Liberian-Owned Businesses

Several Senators of the 53rd Legislature have called for more support to Liberian-owned businesses operating in the country. According to the Senators, if Liberia is to become a middle income country by 2030, small, medium and large Liberian-owned businesses must be supported both morally and financially.

The Senators made the call on Sunday, July 1, 2012 during an inaugural ride of the Monrovia Shuttle Service at the Roberts International Airport, outside Monrovia. The Monrovia Shuttle Service is a Liberian-owned transport vehicles that covey passengers between greater Monrovia and Roberts International Airport(RIA) two hours before scheduled departures and arrivals of flights.
