A former assistant minister says the conflict among the arms of government will slow down development. Former Local Government Assistant Minister Gachara Muchiri said each arm should work within its powers as stipulated in the constitution for the smooth running of the country's affairs.
Gachara cited the overturning of President Kibaki's appointments by the Judiciary. Either some of arms are not working within their mandate or there could be some weakness in the constitution, he said.
