Tanzania: Mnyika Given Seven Days to Prove Allegations Against Mchemba

Dodoma — NATIONAL Assembly Chair Jenister Mhagama on Tuesday gave Ubungo MP (Chadema) John Mnyika seven days to prove before the House his allegations that Mr Mwigulu Mchemba (Iramba West-CCM) is one of the suspects in the EPA scandal.

Mr Mnyika alleged during an exchange of words in the House that Mr Mwigulu (Iramba West-CCM) is one of those who took part in swindling money at Bank of Tanzania (BOT) through EPA.

Ms Mhagama directed Mnyika to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Mwigulu really took part in the scandal.

Mr Mnyika said that because the scandal involved some BOT satff--- and Mwigulu was one of BOT staff at that time.

Mwigulu who appeared in a disbelief mood stood up explaining that the swindling took place when he was still pursuing his university studies and he had never stepped at BOT by that time.
