Uganda: I Helped My Sister Get Treatment

opinion

WE were alone at home when my young sister got a fever. My mother had gone to work, so I had to act very fast to save my sister's life.

Fortunately, there was some credit on the telephone. I rang mum explaining the condition of my sister. She responded very fast and in just minutes she had returned home.

We rushed my sister to a nearby clinic for a medical checkup. After examination, the doctors discovered she had malaria and gave her treatment with clear instructions on how to swallow the medicine.

Mother would leave me to take care of my sister while she went to work. I followed instructions while giving my sister medicine.

After two days she recovered. I advise fellow children to always follow instructions when taking medicine.
