Kenya: Mutunga Swears in Transition Authority Team

THE thirteen members of the Transitional Authority have been sworn in. Inaugurating the team yesterday at the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Willy Mutunga called on the members to be wary of political anti-reform forces out to frustrate their operations.

The authority that has its lifespan to last for three years is mandated to oversee the decentralisation of powers from the national government to county governments.
