Rwanda: Nyanza - Kiruri Awarded for Exceptional Community Work

Residents of Kiruri cell in Mukingo sector - Nyanza district won the 1st award on the National level for participating in actions of community work (Umuganda) as Abdallah Murenzi the mayor of Nyanza district said on the 3rd.July.2012.

Abadallah Murenzi said that this award is worth 1.5Million francs and it will be presented to Kiruri residents by the Ministry of Local Governments (MINALOC).

This award was won after James Musoni the Minister in the Ministry of Local Governments visited Kiruri cell on the 11Th.June.2012 and found that they have built office buildings of all villages that make up this cell.

James Musonion that day thanked Nyanza district to have managed to build village offices and cows' kraals with the help of the local residents and their local leaders through community work. Kiruli cell is made up of 11 villages and all of them have office buildings.
