Tanzania: Biharamulo Residents to Be 'Rewarded'

Dodoma — The contractor of Kagoma-Lusahunga road in Biharamulo District will pay compensation to villagers, whose houses were damaged by blast shocks as the road was being constructed, the National Assembly was told here on Tuesday.

Deputy Minister for Works, Mr Gerson Lwenge told the House that the payment would be made in September this year. Mr Lwenge said in October 2010, the Tanzania Road Agency (TANROADS) in Kagera Region, sent an expert from the Lake Zone to conduct an assessment of damage.
